Operational Status: Friday February 12th, AED Washington DC offices will be open for regular business. Staff should follow their regular approved work schedule. The overall objective of AED's emergency website is to prepare for and provide
safety information in the event of an emergency situation. The personal safety
of our employees is our number one priority. We want to give you as much information
as possible to prepare you for those emergency situations and to avoid confusion.
Ultimately, however, you are responsible for your own safety, and each employee
should develop a personal plan. If you have never been involved in an emergency
situation, count yourself among the lucky ones, but know that emergency situations
can happen at any time. The best action you can take is to be prepared, be informed,
and know what to do in a time of crisis, for yourself, for your colleagues and
for your family. The more you are prepared for an emergency, the less strain
you will be under and the more effective you will be. |
